Guitar Teacher Of The Month – Simone

We’re featuring one of our Guitar Teachers each month.

Simone

Simone

This month’s featured Guitar Teacher is Simone – An active session Guitarist and arranger who joined us in 2015.  He has 10 years of Guitar teaching experience with students of all levels, from the ages of 5 to 86!  He’s as comfortable with an absolute beginner as he is with a more advanced Guitarist, and his engaging approach and focus ensure his students make fast progress.  Being a superb Multi-Instrumentalist, Simone can teach Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Drums and Piano.

Having studied at Rome’s prestigious Percentomusica Academy and had Masterclass study with Modern Rock Virtuoso Paul Gilbert, and Arrangement and Orchestration classes with Oscar-winning Andrea Avena, he progressed to a career in Guitar Teaching and Session Guitar Playing.  His session Guitar work has landed him work on TV shows The X Factor Italy and The Voice Germany and the lead Guitar role with the MuSa Jazz Big Band and The Frets Orchestra.

Simone’s teaching experience since 2007 has been huge, with a particular highlight being him being made Head Of Guitar Studies at Rome’s Rogi Music School in 2011.  He held the position for 4 years before relocating to London.

Simone is a highly intelligent person and Musician, with a kind, insightful, softly-spoken manner.  His successes as a teacher are proven, and growing, and we are delighted to have him on the team.

In 2016 he is taking on new students in Central, North and North West London.

Welcoming Daniel Green

Hi Guitar-lovers,

We’d like to welcome a new Guitar Teacher to Bruce Music.

Daniel Green has recently joined our Guitar teaching staff, and we’re delighted to have him onboard.

Like all our Guitar teachers, Daniel is a professional musician, in-demand in a number of areas of the industry.  He has a wealth of teaching experience, in both one-to-one and group settings.  He’ll be covering North London for us, including Haringay, Crouch End, Finsbury Park, Islington and Hackney.  He’s a versatile teacher, but some of his particular specialisms include:

  • Acoustic guitar Technique
  • Folk and Fingerstyle playing
  • Songwriting and Arranging
  • Developing the student’s own style and sound

The majority of Daniel’s non-teaching work is in songwriting and performance.  He has a growing reputation as the artist Laish – under this name, his beautifully crafted songs have led to the release of several albums and performances at venues such as the stunning and renowned Union Chapel –

One of the things Daniel will be able to offer in his tuition is a level of insight into the worlds of Acoustic Guitar songwriting, performance, composition and singing that most Guitar Teachers In London can not provide.

So, welcome Daniel!  And for anyone looking to learn or develop these kinds of skills, Get in touch!

Have a great week.

Isabel relocated to London a few years ago to study for a Music Degree, and has joined our team of London Guitar Teachers in early 2015.  She is a virtuoso Guitarist and performer and an experienced teacher, having started teaching at a very young age in her native Portugal.  She has particularly impressive experience with SEN (Special Educational Needs) students, and groups of young children.

She has performed live on Portuguese Television when aged just 16, and since moving to the UK has become a regular performer on the touring and festival circuits.

She’s comfortable playing just about any style of music, but is a specialist in Rock, Blues and Jazz

Here she is last month, performing some super-cool Jazz guitar!
